Recently I've decided that I want to come up with a top ten list for opening lines of songs, I've been thinking about them a lot, but so far I've only thought of two that definitely have to be on the list and a few others that are a possibility. Then again maybe I need different lists.

So I got a new toy

I finally decided to splurge and get a ball winder and I love it so much. I just got the knit picks one that was not expensive and it took me a while to get the hang of it, but once I did I went a little crazy. I think i'm going to wind all my balls into centerpulls I don't know how I lived without one it is so fun. maybe someday in the future I'll have enough money to buy a swift (yeah right they're way too expensive).Just a random Yarn update. I will try to start blogging more regularly and use this as my main blog now that I am home.

Games!

So here are some more videos I took at the Botanical gardens. People were playing a lot of games there, the first one is a video of people playing with a Jianzi, like a Chinese hackey sack.




the second one is a game involving a beanbag of some sort. If you watch the tiny girl in yellow and orange see gets beamed pretty hard.




I've been going to a lot of parks lately and Chinese parks are beautiful.

BJ Gardens

This weekend I went to the Botanical Gardens with my Language Partner group. Not my Language partner though, he is in Switzerland right now. I think we should have waited a few weeks to go though, because now only some things were blossoming and it was COLD. It snowed there which is really odd for late March in Beijing I feel then again it hardly ever rains here, so I guess anything besides dry is abnormal. Anyways I'll put more pictures up soon but enjoy my pretty ones in the mean time. Oh, and going in the warm green house was nice.

Subways

I spent a lot of break, and a lot of China time running around the Subway system. And wow, all i can say is Minneapolis would really benefit from a comprehensive system. I have subway passes for four different places which is awesome. Hong Kong's system is best, but Taiwan's is the cutest, but the Taiwanese really like their music they play it for their subway, they play it for their garbage trucks and basically whatever else.

This happened for several nights even after I came back from taiwan as well once at four in the morning which is so strange.

All the pictures I took on vacation I'll get around to posting here and on facebook.

My friends and I have also resolved to go to more interesting places this semester so we get to experience the "real Beijing" so hopefully I'll blog about that.

my New Years resolution was to be a better student... and well there is still some hope.

I think a better resolution would be to stop watching so much TV, it is kind of ridiculous I think.

There is a girl with in my calligraphy class with a name that sounds almost exactly like mine, but her second character is different, it is "Rainbow" instead of "Girl" I am jealous.

I update my Plurk way more than I update this, be my friend!

If I get bored I might post a "get to know me!" quiz on here for kicks.

Too Late is my Ancestral Home

Yeah, only one person will get that joke.

But I am now in Taiwan, with my mommy. And all of my relatives, who all speak Taiwanese, which I don't. I'm kind of picking some up though, like I can kind of tell when they are talking about me.

I owe my sister an apology, Dolly (my cousin) has two kids one 5 and one 3 last time my sister was here she was all, "Ugh, these kids are the most annoying ever and just need a good disciplining!" And my response was, "Whatever Sunny, you hate kids." But now... now I kind of have to agree with her, wow these kids are annoying, and I really like kids, but they need to learn some manners, quickly.

We were at a giant shopping mall yesterday and I finally bought an electronic dictionary (YAY!) and the lady at the Jade counter was asked, "What relation does this person have to you?"

I responded, "My mother."

Then she said, "Oh, she doesn't look like your mother."

Mom cut in, "She takes after her dad."

The Lady at the counter now ignores me and turns to my mom, "But she's so dark."

Which my mom replies, "She just got back from Singapore where it is very Sunny."

"I see." She turns back to me to ask, "You're mom is very pretty isn't she?"

I respond, "Yes." but in my head I'm thinking, Thanks for calling me ugly, bitch.


Sorry this is all over the place but I'm just writing things that are comming to mind. I'll write more later.
